For the Shrimp

  • lb Large Shrimp, peeled, deveined and tail off
  • ½ Tablespoon Chopped Shallots
  • 1 Teaspoon Chopped Green Onion
  • 1 Tablespoon Dry White Wine
  • ½ Tablespoon Flour
  • ½ Pack Dry Garlic Butter Shrimp Scampi Mix by McCormick
  • 1 Cup Heavy cream, more as needed
  • 1 Tablespoon Butter
  • Kosher salt and pepper, as needed
  • Old bay, as needed
  • Garlic powder, as needed

For the Panko Crust

  • ½ Cup Melted Butter
  • ¾ Cup Panko
  • ¼ Cup Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 Tablespoon Freshly Chopped Parsley

  • Heat the oven to 375º F.
  • In a medium bowl mix together melted butter, panko, parmesan cheese and parsley. Set aside.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add butter, shallots and green onions and sauté until the shallots are tender. Deglaze the pan with white wine. Add in flour and combine.
  • Add heavy cream and the Scampi pack to the pan and continue cooking until the sauce begins to thicken. Continue to stir periodically. Once the sauce reaches your desired consistency (should be the consistency of Alfredo sauce), remove from the pan. If the sauce is too thick add additional heavy cream to thin. Adjust seasonings if necessary and remove from the heat.
  • Season shrimp with kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder and old bay and arrange in the bottom of a small baking dish.
  • Pour Creamy Scampi sauce over the shrimp and mix. Sprinkle Panko mixture on top.
  • Bake for about 12 minutes until nice and bubbly. You can also turn the oven on high broil for about 1 minute for a nice golden top. Just be careful not to burn. Enjoy!
